Fundraising Tips

Looking for ways to boost your fundraising? Look no further! We have included some tips and resources to help make you more successful.

Tip #1

Ask. Don't be afraid to ask for a donation. Ask your friends, family, and co-workers to support your efforts.

Tip #2

Social Media/E-Mail. Share your personalized fundraising link through e-mail and across all of your social media channels. Don't be afraid to post multiple times or make multiple e-mail requests. Posting more than once will guarantee your ask is hitting individuals that may have missed your initial ask for support and may also encourage individuals who were on the fence to engage and donate.

Tip #3

Tie it back to our mission. What are you fundraising for? Do you have a personal connection to Make-A-Wish? Why is supporting our organization important to you? Remember, you aren't asking your supporters for money or to pay for your way into a race. You are asking them to help grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. Share a wish video or story (see additional resources below)  with your ask.

Tip #4

Donate to yourself. Individuals are more likely to donate to your cause once they see your financial investment. Donate to yourself and ask friends and family to match your personal donation.
